Getting married is something that means a lot of work for just one day of your life. However, it might be one of the most important you experience, so it stands to reason you want it to be an event to remember. As long as you are focusing on that day, but also the life together afterwards, you should make it all that you can. You have a lot to think about, and just one important thing you will have to know about is the best ways to go about mailing wedding invitations. Do it right so everyone shows up and there are no lost messages.

You may have a list of things you should do for your wedding, and when you should do them. These lists are often helpful, but you should look it over to see if you agree with each timeline. One thing that must be at the top of the list in your priorities is finding the right timing for mailing wedding invitations. This should be about six weeks before the date so that you can be sure all are received, and those that do not make it are returned. This should be enough time for everyone to respond and for you to do follow ups.

If you are going to be mailing your wedding invitations about six weeks before the date, you have to be sure you get them printed up in time. This means you should choose what you want early, work on getting the wording right, and getting your order in long before you think it needs to be submitted. You want time to catch mistakes, or you will be mailing wedding invitations that may have errors in the date, time, or even location. Those things are all essential information, and if they are wrong, you are going to find you have a disaster on your hands.

There are times when you may not be able to avoid mailing wedding invitations late. When that happens, you may sweat it out, but there are some things that you can do to make sure you get to everyone that you want to attend. That might mean making a lot of phone calls if you are not getting your RSVP responses as soon as you need them. You may also find that some get lost when mailing your wedding invitations, so that will need to be addressed as well. Luckily, both phone and email are available to you when you have to make up for lost time with your wedding invites.

Consumers receive as much as a thousand spam messages a day, however; the average user will receive between 10 and 15 junk emails per day. Service providers such as Yahoo and Gmail have spam filtering built in and automatically deliver such messages to a spam folder. The other day my mother did not receive messages she knew were sent. My first instinct was to check her spam folder, not only did she find the message in question, but tons of other messages from her friends!

I began to think, she could not be the only one in this situation. Not surprisingly many users simply delete all their junk emails without even looking at the headers. Others are more trusting and simply set it to automatically delete the messages after a time period. It is important to always check your junk emails folder as it is easy to have legit messages thrown in.

The word “spam” is interpreted many ways, depending on who your service provider is. In general, follow these guidelines when sending messages to ensure you make it to the inbox. Don’t repeat words, never use symbols, and avoid spam phrases like “pre-approved”, “guaranteed”, “click here”, or anything relating to financial and debt relief. As a general rule, most messages with an .exe file attachment will be considered junk emails. If you are sending a program, provide them the URL where they can download it themselves.

There are many other ways of ensuring you receive the right messages in your inbox. Your spam filter reads your usage patterns. Over time the system will notice you move all messages from Tom Smith from your junk emails folder to your inbox and vice versa. For a quick permanent solution you can add users to your Whitelist and Blacklist. These are essentially the naughty or nice lists, any sender you put on your whitelist will never go to spam, while senders on your Blacklist always go to spam.

Sometimes you, or your service provider, have no control as per what is determined to be junk emails. There are three detection levels; sometimes emails are scanned for spam before reaching your provider. Often times your emails are filtered by the provider (i.e. Yahoo and Gmail spam folders). Lastly, you may have computer programs filtering your emails for you and marking them as spam.

There are other, more drastic, options out there. If you have had your email address for a long time and receive thousands of spam messages, consider changing e-mail addresses. Another option is to have a disposable address that you provide only to online retailers, mailing lists, and other third parties.

The best spam filtering web-based providers seem to be Gmail and Yahoo. If you are using a POP3/IMAP account with a desktop application ESET Smart Security is the most reliable. It scans each message individually and is easy to use.

My question is; where does this obsession derive from? Is it due to the fact that they’re in moves? It must be this plain and simple factor, because I know it’s not because they’re rich and good looking. A number of people in your city are rich, attractive, or both, and no one’s freaking out over them. So we can come to the conclusion that it’s an obsession stemmed from fame. Hey, don’t you know that envy is one of the seven deadly sins? Anyway, if you’re one of these celebrity worshipers, then you can acquire their information on the World-Wide-Web. I’m talking about real celebrity mailing addresses, folks. Whose do you need?

I can honestly say that I’ve never needed any celebrity mailing addresses. I’m not the fan type. Sure I love films, but I’m not in-love with the actors who play in them. The characters are often cool, but I can’t say that I know that actors at all. It’s doubtful that they even resemble each other. That actor that you adore so much simply because of the roles he/she plays may be nothing like those characters in real life. Just take Tom Cruise for example. I think his acting is outstanding. However, I don’t literally think he resembles the character, Vincent, which he played in “Collateral.” This is absurd. However, oodles of celebrity worshipers out there who crave celebrity mailing addresses, get fantasy mixed with reality. It’s unconscious most of the time. Whether many entertainment buffs realize it or not, they mix actors and characters and even start to believe they’re the same. It’s time for a reality check, people.

Are you in search of celebrity mailing addresses? Hey, guess what; you don’t have to look much further than your personal computer. With high-speed cable Internet access, you can have celebrity mailing addresses in no time. Get Sean Penn’s mailing address and send him a congrats on his great job in “Mystic River,” or acquire Ben Stiller’s address and tell him how much you enjoyed “Zoolander.” That was not a joke. “Zoolander” is the bomb! Anyway, find all celebrity mailing addresses on the web today.

Many decades ago, before the invention of the Internet, there was a method of gaining a martial partner that was considered a bit unorthodox at the time. Mail order brides were women who lived in another country and were looking for a partner. Men from North American who enjoyed foreign women could essentially order a wife. In some cases, the man and woman wouldn’t even meet before the wedding took place.

A lot has changed since then and much of that has to do with the way we communicate. The Internet has made it possible for people from all corners of the globe to talk and eventually meet. Although the idea of mail order brides seems to have become a thing of the past, it’s in fact still in existence, in a slightly different form.

There are many websites that call themselves matchmaking sites. For a fee available men and women can join. They do so with the hope of meeting a life partner. You are able to post your image along with some details about what it is you are looking for. Unlike the mail order brides of years past, women now have as much say in who they date as the men using the site do.

For people interested in meeting someone from another country or even continent, there are sites that are focused on helping with that as well. There are even some sites that cater to men looking for a wife from another country. Some people consider these women to be reminiscent of mail order brides as their goal is to find a husband from abroad.

It’s not uncommon to do a quick online search and find sites boasting beautiful women from places like the Ukraine and Poland. These women could be considered mail order brides as they are indeed looking for an English speaking partner interested in a long term relationship. Many of the women on these sites are not only lovely to look at but are also incredibly intelligent.

Most sites that charge a fee for match making are safe to use. They don’t reveal any of your personal identifying information. In fact on most sites you use a screen name and it’s entirely your choice when you give out your real name and phone number.

When meeting someone for the first time that you’ve only spoken to online or on the phone it’s important to remember a few things. Do it in a well populated area and make sure someone knows where you are and exactly who you are meeting. Although many match making websites screen their clients before allowing them membership, it doesn’t hurt to be extra careful.

The delivery of standalone text, HTML and Rich Media to permission-based email lists has continued to be the most cost-efficient means of customer acquisition and retention that is available. The Return on Investment (ROI) in direct email marketing has been made possible thanks to the availability of more accurate, richer subscriber data and improved subscriber segmentation technologies. In fact, any company that fails to appropriately evolve email as a marketing tool is competitively and strategically disadvantaged. Email marketing solutions appropriately fit into this picture. The continuing exponential growth of SPAM or unsolicited email however seems to place downward pressures on email rates, however ingenious email marketing solutions have been, to a certain extent, able to go round this hurdle.

There is speculation that direct email marketing solutions will not continue to be as worthwhile as they were 4 or 5 years ago. The economics of email marketing for customer retention and acquisition will likely be different in the future. However, one thing will continue to be the de facto standard in email marketing – permission. For positive email campaigns however, more will be required. As one email marketing solutions founder said, "permission has become so mainstream now that while in the past there was a real difference between acquisition email lists harvested from newsgroups and permission-based lists, being permission-based is no longer the differentiator it used to be for either the marketer or the user."

In the present online marketing field, only permission-based email campaigns that have a high ‘inbox visibility’ degree provide worthwhile and positive Return on Investment to marketers both on the acquisition and the retention fronts. Today’s email marketing solutions are aimed at improving inbox visibility through implementation of practices that are related to crafting email subject lines and strategies of the sort. However to attain sustained inbox visibility, email marketing solutions strategies will need to go deeper. Implementing strategies that insulate one from the shifting market dynamics in email marketing will give any company the real competitive advantage.

What email marketing solutions strategies will prove successful? Directly anticipated email communications. By and large, directly anticipated emails will prove immune to growing inbox invisibility since their arrival is anticipated by the recipients. These campaigns can be run through email newsletter campaigns. Other strategies include gathering emails of individuals interested in particular products and delivering such information immediately to the individuals. It is becoming increasingly difficult to overcome the problem of inbox invisibility but email newsletters seem to have a better chance of overcoming this problem as well as other email marketing solutions that move away from direct email strategies.

Back in the early days of the net, there was no such thing as free email accounts. You needed an ISP to connect to the net and along with the price of that connection, you were provided with an email account. All ISPs offered email, some with just one, others offering multiple email accounts, all in an effort to capture the largest segment of net users.

When free email accounts made their debut, it was a hard sell. “I’ve already got email. Why do I want another? I’m already paying my ISP for this service.” Clever marketers, with varying motives, sought to diss the free accounts and many web sites, message boards and forums refused to sign you up if you gave a free email address. Not enough control or proper oversight was the purported reason. This created an unfavorable image of free email service in the public mind, having acquired the earmarks of a second-class sort of email account.

Today, some ISPs, realizing the popularity of free email accounts, the cost involved in maintaining email for their customers and the current competition among ISPs offering a connection for less, are now countering these disadvantages by offering a connection only at a slightly reduced price. This marketing trend is on the rise.

Many of the big-name search engines, such as Google and Yahoo, along with hundreds of thousands of others, offer free email accounts with plenty of bells and whistles which satisfy the most discriminating of web surfers.

Some people use free email accounts as their sole vehicle for receiving all of their email. While some websites are still resisting, demanding an ISP-provided email address for registration on their site, these are becoming the exception.

For those who enjoy subscribing to newsletters or the occasional download, both of which require an email address, a free email account offers advantages. While reserving your ISP-provided email for communicating with family and friends, the free email provides protection from spam that is sometimes generated through a newsletter subscription. Even when the website producing the newsletter promises never to share, sell etcetera, if you opt in for additional information from other sites, you run the risk of getting spam from the outside sites.

A few years ago, while researching all things stock market, I ended up with thousands of emails from sites I’d never visited. The result? I had to completely shut down my email address to get rid of these unwanted communications and start all over again. What a mess!

Free email services that I use now put everything not on my contact list into a spam folder and simply delete them after a month. Problem solved.

If you want to research the features and benefits of free email accounts, there are free guides available for the reading. You may well find them so convenient, you can save a few bucks on your ISP connection. Why not?

If you’ve had a website for any length of time, you know that an email advertising campaign is one of the most cost effective advertising methods. However, email advertising strategies require some finesse. Too many website owners us a much too heavy handed approach, which usually results in a greatly reduced ROI, as well as reduced credibility and lots of subscribers canceling.

Worst of all, an angry audience may start tagging your emails as spam, before they cancel their subscription. This is not the way to succeed. Here we present some common, but plentifully practiced, email advertising techniques that you should avoid, as well as tips on making your email marketing campaign a winning proposition.

Here’s a prime example of what you don’t want to do. I once subscribed to a travel writer’s newsletter which I ran across in another newsletter’s feature article. I clicked through and found a few items of interest, so I signed up for their newsletter. First of all, I soon discovered this website sent a ‘newsletter’ on almost a daily basis, which was far more than I cared to receive.

Then, I started receiving additional emails from this site, telling a story of how so and so just returned from a trip to Costa Rica, writing a story accompanied by the photos they took on their trip and promptly selling it to a travel magazine. The story was but a couple of paragraphs, which was not especially interesting or informative and a thinly disguised lead-in to the sales pitch that followed. The gist of it was that for a mere $3000, I could attend their next workshop and learn all the tricks of the trade.

After a week or two of perusing the newsletter, it became obvious that they had no information of value. A short editor’s note, telling me what she’d been doing that day, was always followed by a long and pushy sales pitch. I canceled. This is the epitome of bad email advertising. Don’t take this approach. It’s a loser.

Now let’s take a look at how to construct an email advertising campaign that does your website traffic and income good. You know the value of an e-newsletter, but as mentioned earlier, the successful email marketing campaign requires finesse. Just as on your website, your newsletter demands quality content. If you don’t provide information your readers can use to increase their knowledge, or which is simply entertaining, you’re fighting an uphill battle. A single, quality feature article in every issue is a great start to building a loyal readership, some of whom will forward it to a friend, perhaps resulting in a new subscriber and potential customer.

When doing email advertising within a newsletter format, your ads should not comprise more than 10% of the total content. This translates to about 2-3 ads per issue. If you have a particularly outstanding offer, you might put it up front. For example: ‘This week I ran across an amazing deal that I wanted to pass on …’ Then tell them why. Use a review style and keep it short and sweet.

If you use the ‘special offer’ approach, use it judiciously and don’t overdo it. It’s got to be truly special, time dependent and worthy of sending in a separate email. If the offer doesn’t meet this criteria, your credibility will suffer. Readers won’t even open these after a while.

One effective email advertising technique is to intersperse ads within freebies and resources at the end of your newsletter. You make this section a regular part of every newsletter, under a title such as ‘Freebies, top picks and resources’.

Follow these do’s and don’ts of email advertising and see if you’re not well rewarded!

No one wants to log into their email account and find junk email. Especially when you are waiting on an important email message, and you have to go through junk emails to look for it. It is up to you to decide whether or not you will go through the junk folder, or if you will just take your chance and trash them all, possibly deleting the important file you were waiting for in the first place. The only solution for junk email is spam guard.

With Spam guard, you can put the junk email in a separate folder that you do not even have to bother going through. If you want to, you can delete junk emails all at one time. This makes it easier to keep wanted mail and unwanted mail separated, as well as your folder file size down. You must note that some important emails have the potential of being spammed, and unless you search each and every email, you will not know this. So even with the spam guard, you are still not one-hundred percent free of going through junk emails.

Some people wonder how they receive junk email. This is easy. When you are searching different sites, and sign up for entrance onto them, your email and other information is sold to a third party, and here comes all the unwanted mail. It may seem like nothing, but it can really be annoying. Junk emails have the capability of causing viruses, and this can be a big headache. The viruses can cause your computer to shut down, or not work completely, sometimes not at all.

A junk email can also be very harmful physically. If the wrong person sends a fictitious email, they may get someone to give their personal information, and you could have someone knowing exactly where you live, and this is not a good idea. A lot of people use junk emails to get information about people, and stalk the person and cause harm to them.

Another bad deal with a junk email is it can ask for financial information. If someone is thinking they are subscribing to a company, or ordering something from a secure site through the junk email, they can be wrong. It is generally hard to trace junk emails, more so than an email from a legit company. The time it takes to track down the con artist who sent you out the junk email could be too long, and your bank account can be completely wiped out.

With junk email, everyone usually deletes them immediately. In the event these emails make it through your spam blocker, it is best if you immediately flag them, and send them to your trash. Some people will also report them to their email system provider, if they suspect them to be a great threat. No one wants a junk email, but with the companies selling email addresses, it is hard to steer clear of them.

Addressing your customers correctly in your email marketing campaign can go a long way in helping you attain desired results. Here are a few tips on the proper way of addressing your email newsletter subscribers.

Personalize it.
Rather than starting on an impersonal note with Dear Customer, make it more personalized by using their first names. As for the rest of your email newsletter, remember to directly address your customer. Using their first names once in a while would also be a nice touch.

Also, make sure to configure your email newsletter software to send birthday greetings to your subscribers. Although it’s a programmed action, subscribers will still appreciate the thought behind it.

Be careful about making assumptions.
Misassumptions can make you end up addressing your customers incorrectly. If you are introducing a new product in your next newsletter, should you write in with the assumption that they’d be automatically receptive to your new product? Would they have prior knowledge about it already? Exert time and effort in researching about your subscribers to be able to address them properly.

Know your target market.
Be sure about your target markets demographics. If you thought your products appeal best to adults and wrote your newsletter accordingly, what would happen if your subscribers turn out to be teenagers? You would have lost them right away once they see the formal tone of your letter or the topics you’ve discussed and which they can’t relate to.

Always use a respectful and courteous tone.
It doesn’t matter what kind of target market you’re addressing. It never hurts to be respectful and courteous. This doesn’t mean you’ll have to address them by Sir or Madam all the time but opening your letter with pleasant salutations could be a nice touch. Issue your call to action with courtesy rather than stating it as a command.

Take care with how you write.
Capitalization helps in providing emphasis, but they can also be interpreted as shouting or talking down to someone so make sure you use it appropriately. Be just as careful with punctuation marks and underlining.

Get feedback.
Lastly, is there any better way to know how to properly address your customers than asking them yourself? You can do this by conducting polls, surveys, or behind-the-scenes research. Be careful though. People can be pretty tough when it comes to giving feedback so don’t take it personally. Use it instead to further improve your public relation skills. After all, what the customer wants, you try your best to provide!

If you intend to make it big in the internet industry, you have to be familiar with the email marketing basics. Creating a powerful email campaign is the best way to acquire sales leads that turn into profits very soon. But more than just the basics, you also need to learn the effective email marketing techniques in order for you to maximize the earning potential of your emails.

And one of the best strategies to employ in all of your email campaigns is the first name basis tactic. Whenever you write somebody about your product, you should not treat that somebody as just an email address. Keep in mind that you are actually talking to people. And these people have names. You always try to get your prospect names and use it in the greeting of the email and more preferably, in the body of your letter as well.

It is not a hidden fact that email campaigns are sent massively. This means that one single email message is sent to several thousand internet users at the same time. These letters are not unique. And your recipient knows that. But if and when they see their names especially integrated into the whole email, they’ll feel that the email is actually for them and them alone. That’s also when they start reading.

Don’t worry about the task ahead because you don’t really have to individually type the names of your recipient in each and every one of your emails before sending them. It’s a good thing that there are email managers and software that can do all of these for you. All you have to do is to construct an effective sales letter and specifically leave spaces for the names of your prospect for the program to fill. Your only job is to make a database of email addresses and the names of the people that own them.

If you use the first name of your clients in your letter, the power of your email ads are doubled. You will capture the interest of your reader right off. And your letter would seem unique and not created for the whole world to read.

But more importantly, using the first name of your prospects creates a certain level of connection between the two of you. And that’s the start of trust. You need to exude trust in order to gain sales. And the first name basis strategy is a good start.

8 Suggested Items to Include in Your Email Marketing Checklist

Goal List
List down the specific goals you wish to achieve with your email. Once you’re done creating your email, use the checklist to verify whether all goals have been accomplished or not.

Outline and Format
It never hurts to have a draft and outline to work with. The details in your outline must then be included in your checklist. Reviewing them will allow you to determine if all key points have been properly addressed by your email. Secondly, make sure that your preferred format is included in your email marketing checklist. In most cases, your email marketing format would usually include but isn’t limited to subject header, introductory paragraph, body, conclusions, closing paragraph, call to action, and miscellaneous details.

Email Address Validation
There’s no point sending out an email if there’s no one to read it. Hence, take out your opt-in list and consider sending a confirmation email to verify whether all email addresses in your list are still active.

Testing Procedures
Try to think of the various tests your email must be subjected to for quality control.

Monitoring Results
Include in your checklist a periodic assessment period for your emails. Compute the conversion rate, click-through rate, referral rate, and any other applicable statistics for your email marketing campaign.

Previous Mistakes and Concerns
Include in your checklist a list of things you did wrong or overlooked in the past email. This will prevent history from repeating itself with your current email. Next, if there are any issues or concerns which you had promised your customers to address on your next email, include them in your checklist as well. It will remind you to address them as promised when you are in the process of formulating your latest email.

Email Versions
Some of your customers may prefer a text-only email while others may prefer graphic-heavy emails. If you are creating more than one version of your email, all versions with the appropriate reminders should also be included in your checklist.

Link Checking
Finally, remember to double-check all links pasted in your email to ascertain that they are clickable and that they do redirect your readers to the appropriate and functioning pages.

Make sure you have your email marketing checklist with you all the time. Remember to use this for monitoring and evaluating every email you send.

Do you know that not only online businesses can benefit from email marketing? Email is a very powerful marketing tool to the extent that it is not only utilized by e-stores but by offline businesses as well. Email has long replaced snail mail. And that is actually to a marketer’s advantage, because they don’t have to send their advertising campaigns through the post, which could be very expensive. Plus, emails can be received much faster than a regular postmarked letter. And it works globally too.

If you’ve got an offline business, don’t underestimate the powers of email marketing. You can definitely use it to your advantage. It will give your business the mileage that it needs, regardless if you own a website or not.

To remind your customers that your business is always there to answer their needs, these are the five email marketing tips that you should follow:

1. Inform your past, present, and future customers about store specials through email.
What’s the best form of announcement of a sale or store event other than through a special invitation arriving at your customer’s inbox? Not only would you give your customers first-hand information about the upcoming special at your store. You will also allow them to prepare for the event that you have especially prepared for them. A big sale and a good package deal offered for a limited time are good enough reasons to send emails to your customers.

2. Send your customers holiday greetings through email.
You don’t have to email your customers just because you want to invite them to your store to buy something. Sending them a little Thank You note for their purchase, a Christmas card, or a Birthday card are enough to show them that you truly care for them as an individual and not just for the profits that you make from them.

3. Create informative materials or newsletters for your customers.
People are getting tired of the junk and the marketing materials they receive in their mail. If you are truly dedicated to superior customer service to your clients, you won’t add up to the clutter they are getting everyday in their emails. Instead, you make sure that you send them news, features, and items that they can be truly interested in. A regular newsletter would allow you to keep in touch with your customers for a long period of time. Try to get their permission for this.

Whenever you send marketing emails to prospects, you always run the risk of contacting closed, false, and non-existent email addresses. These are just a few of the issues that you can expected to face whenever you choose to buy databases of email address rather than building up your own. Keep in mind that a targeted email list is the one that would give you profits. The ones that are up for sale on eBay are not likely to work for you.

However, even if you have painstakingly created a targeted email list, your emails are still susceptible to bouncing problems. An email will bounce if and when the intended recipient refuses or can’t receive the email at all. In cases like this, the message will go back to the sender with an error text signifying the reason the message can’t be sent.

But you can solve the problem of bouncing emails in just a few steps. However, this solution will only work for created email lists and not for bought email lists.

1. Put a proper sender’s name on your emails.
Email spam filters are always checking where the email came from before it can be cleared. If it can’t find the valid sender’s name in the proper fields, then it will be considered as spam. And as such, it will never find its way in the recipient’s inbox. It would stay forever in the spam folder until the come across it and take it out of there. And that scenario is not very likely.

2. Request your email subscribers to add your address in their contacts list.
If your name and email address are added to the contacts list, then the email filters that could bounce your message back would be avoided. It’s like giving your emails an exclusive entry pass to the inbox without having to go through scrutiny.

3. Double check the spelling and format of the email address you have on your list.
In the digital world, the worse mistake you can make is a human error. Make sure that you ask your prospects to retype their emails on the fields provided on the opt-in pages to be sure of an accurate address every time.

4. Provide for a confirmation link for subscriptions.
In order to make sure a real person had subscribed to your emails and not a robot, have your users check their emails and click the confirmation link provided therein. This way, you also protect your own interest. With an email confirmation process in place, you won’t be accused of sending unsolicited mails to your prospects.

Blogging is not just a tool to stay connected with your customers. It can also be a vehicle to building your email marketing list. Here are several suggestions to accomplish that.

Make subscribing to your email marketing list your call to action.
Even blog posts adhere to the same format with most marketing articles. You start with a strong paragraph, proceed with the body, and finish with an equally strong call to action. In this case, your call to action should be for readers to join your email marketing list.

Naturally, making that your call to action won’t be appropriate if the rest of your blog post has no direct connection to your list. But we’ll get to that later. For now, it’s important to remember ending every post, if possible, with this kind of call to action.

Choose topics that can be related to your email marketing newsletter.
What’s your next newsletter issue about? Can you write a blog entry about it? It’s important to establish a clear connection between your blog entry and your email newsletter. Your blog entry should provide readers a reason to subscribe to your list.

As for the topics discussed, your blog entry doesn’t have to focus on exactly the same issue. It would help, but it’s not always necessary. If your email newsletter is talking about the latest pet luxury products in the market, consider writing in your blog about the newest pet food flavors. They may not be directly related, but they do still fall in the same general category and is sure to be of equal interest to them.

Don’t give everything away.
Let’s say your next email newsletter tackles the 7 top reasons why puppies are so difficult to train. Your blog entry could feature two out of the seven reasons you’ve mentioned. Leave the rest to their imagination and let your call to action remind them that they can read the continuation of your topic by signing up for your email newsletter.

Market your email newsletter.
Of course, lets not forget to write posts which simply focus on convincing people to subscribe to your list. Today’s blog entry, for instance, may focus on the five best reasons why teenagers should subscribe to your email newsletter. Next week, you can write about the greatest benefits one can enjoy upon subscribing to your email newsletter.

The great thing about blogging is that it’s your turf and you can say anything and as much as you want. Use it to your advantage and it’s sure to have a positive effect on your email marketing list!

People just don’t buy from a website. There has to be a level of trust built between the two parties, the buyer and the seller, before any transaction is initiated. Trust is not generated overnight. It takes time. And in the internet world, interaction is the key.

This is the reason why email marketing still is the most effective way of promoting and selling a product. This also explains why a lot of internet sites desperately find ways for visitors to sign up to their site and give their email addresses to them for subscription. Now, you don’t have to wonder why people keep asking for an email address even if all you really wanted to do was to leave a very short comment on a blog entry.

Emails are very effective marketing tools. However, they only work if they are used the right way. First off, you need to have a big list of active emails where you’ll send your marketing materials. And no, it doesn’t just have to be a list of uncategorized email addresses. It has to be a targeted email address list. Targeted email addresses mean that the people owning the email address you’ll send your campaigns to are the type of people who are going to benefit from your product the most.

Squeezing an email address out of your prospect is not easy. Getting their permission for you to send marketing campaigns to them is another thing. If you are not too familiar in creating an opt-in page, it is best that you partner with another who is an expert in this field. This is one good email service to use. You can also partner with another site with a lot of traffic. Every time a customer clicks on the box that is related to your business or product, then you get their email address for promotional purposes.

Constructing the sales letter itself is quite a task. You need to make an email that is not only interesting but action oriented as well. Every promotional email is only given a maximum reading time of 5 seconds. So you have to capture your reader’s interest within 5 seconds or less. If your sales letter is not effective, then it will be deleted forever.

If you don’t have any talents in writing and copywriting, it is best that you hire an expert sales writer. This is another email service you might want to get for a long-term basis. Having a good writer on call will allow you to make as many new email advertisements as you might need.

Originality is almost always welcomed, but not if it’s poorly executed. You don’t always have to pose original content when marketing your business. Due to time and other common constraints, there will be instances when you’ll be forced to publish marketing copies for your email newsletter. When that time comes, here’s what you can do to ensure that the end results are just as good; maybe even greater than before.

Make your subject line brief, detailed, and powerful.
Try keeping it to four or five words. Anything less might not completely deliver the message while anything more than that could lessen the impact of your emails subject line. Subject lines can take various forms. You may turn it as a teaser that’s meant to intrigue your readers, an announcement that’s meant to make your readers sit up and take notice, a question to make them ponder, or simply a greeting that’s just meant to make them open your email with a smile.

Don’t be afraid to insert first and second person pronouns.
Pronouns like I, you, we, our, and us makes your email more personalized and less like a plain marketing copy. It also establishes a relationship between you and your readers, and puts them in a more receptive mood with regard to your message.

Use headers.
Use headers to make it easier for readers to get the gist of your email and convince them at the same time that your email is worth reading from start to finish. As for creating headers, just use the same tips and guidelines provided for creating your subject line.

Keep paragraphs short.
As mentioned earlier, email newsletters are generally skimmed so you should keep your paragraphs short and focusing on one topic at a time. If the article you’re basing your email on contains long paragraphs, don’t be afraid to break them down into several short ones.

Have your email proofread and checked for plagiarism.
You and another person, preferably someone qualified, should proofread your email newsletter before sending it to your readers. Double-check spelling and grammar. Be sure you’ve got all your facts straight and the flow of thought is orderly and cohesive. A professional editor or proofreader will also let you know if there are unnecessary paragraphs to be cut out.

Lastly, use plagiarism-checking software to ensure that there are little, if any, similarities between your work and the article you’re basing your email newsletter on, never mind that you’re discussing the same topic. If your work passes then congratulations for a job well done!

Conversion rates show the percentage of success in which your email marketing campaign had been successfully converted into the desired action. It can be anything from subscribing to your newsletter, acquiring new membership, or purchasing your products and services.

Tallies for computing the conversion rate of your email marketing campaign must not, of course, include those which had performed the desired reaction but without the use or help of your email.

How to Compute for the Conversion Rate of Your Email Marketing Campaign
There are various online and offline software to help you compute the conversion rate of your email marketing campaign. Most of them are affordable and easy to use. Of course, you can always opt to hire the services of an Internet marketing firm to compute and monitor the conversion rate of your email marketing campaign as well.

How to Improve the Conversion Rate of Your Email Marketing Campaign
You now know how to compute for your conversion rate and let’s just say that the resulting figures aren’t as impressive as you want them to be. If so, here are a few things you can do to improve your conversion rate.

Validate email addresses included in your list.
Are all of them in working order? How about sending everyone in your list a confirmation mail to ensure that their email addresses are still working? If most appear not to be functioning anymore then that could be one reason why your conversion rate is so low!

Increase or improve payment options.
If sale increase is the desired action then take a good look at your payment options. Have you perhaps failed accommodating your customers needs with regard to payment options? Do you only accept cash payments? Maybe it’s time to accept credit card transactions and money orders?

Expand your market.
It’s possible that you’ve done all you could in your current target market and unless you’ve got a new product to introduce then maybe it’s time to pack your bags and find a new market. You could try a new location or age group. If it’s the former, make sure that you perform the necessary adjustments with your prices, terms and conditions, and lastly, your delivery options and charges.

Review your order process.
Could some of the links used in your order process be malfunctioning? This is another possible reason why your conversion rate hasn’t been improving. Review your order form. Are there any modifications you should perform?

Lastly, consider consulting an Internet marketing expert if your problems with conversion rates continue. Good luck getting your ratings up!

Avoid including attachments.
People nowadays are wary about opening attachments, especially when they come from a company they’re in contact with for the first time. Attachments, after all, are one of the favorite tools of hackers for infecting computers with worms, bugs, viruses, and other kinds of malware. If you have a lot to say, try compressing it to fit the body of your email.

Avoid using images.
Graphics of any kind require more time to download; time that your readers may not have or are unwilling to give. If you need to use images, make sure that they’re small enough for easy downloading. If they have to be large, on the other hand, make sure that they’re spliced to facilitate their display.

In the event that the images still don’t show up in your recipients email server then make sure you’ve got a textual backup ready to fill the gap.

Keep it short but sweet.
If you want to wax poetry about your products and services, you can do that on your own turf like your blog or website. You cannot however do that in your email campaign since you’ll be in your customers territory and not yours. Thus, they have the power to tune out or shut you off any time they want. You can prevent that by keeping your message short but sweet.

Make sure your email won’t be mistaken for SPAM.
Assuming that you’ve done the right thing and were able to obtain your customers email addresses with their consent, make sure you have their approval as well for contacting them before sending out your email advertisements.

Don’t forget to include contact details.
You could get so busy perfecting the content of your email advertisement that you end up forgetting providing your recipients with your contact details. If you make that mistake, all your hard work will be for naught! Make sure that your contact details include your business name, address, landline, mobile and fax number, email and website address. Lastly, make sure to place it in a highly visible area!

Have the end product tested and reviewed before sending.
Try getting a sample audience and see how they react to your email ad. If the feedbacks positive then send away! If the feedbacks are negative then its back to the drawing board. Just work hard on your email ad and you’re sure to come up with something good in no time!

If it’s your first time to try out email marketing then here are the golden rules of what you should and shouldn’t do.

Don’t Send Unsolicited Email
They won’t read it, and that’s best case scenario. What could be worse is that they’ll label your email as SPAM and you risk getting blacklisted by their email provider or have your account suspended or removed. And the worst thing that could happen is for your recipients to spread bad things about you, which you can’t really blame them for since you’re the one at fault. Yes, we know you had good intentions, but it’s just not enough. If you truly have nice news to share then surely you could convince them to give you their email addresses!

Do Build Your Email Opt-In List
Email marketing always starts with an email opt-in list. Opting-in signifies their approval of receiving emails from you. Now, you’re probably wondering how to build your opt-in list, right? First, you need to hook their interest: what could you offer that they’d want badly enough to opt-in to your list? This could be a promise to provide them valuable tips on your area of expertise or other freebies. You could give subscribers a preferential discount rate or some other privilege.

Do Subscribe to a Proper Format
Email marketing newsletters adhere to a general format. It all starts with the subject line: make good use of this. Make sure to call your readers attention, let them know that it’s not SPAM and that they did sign up for it. Lastly, make sure it contains the key topic of your email.

Next to this would be the salutations. Be sure to personalize your letter by addressing them directly and using your recipients name. Your introductory paragraph should be brief and detailed, the body of your email equally concise, and your closing paragraphs containing a summary and call to action.

Don’t Bombard Them with Emails
Consider contacting them on a weekly basis at the least. If, however, you think that what you have to say deserves daily contact then at least give your subscribers an option to receive your email either daily or in a digested form.

Do Offer Them a Chance to Unsubscribe
Lastly, let them know right from the start that they always have the option to unsubscribe. When you do, you’re also letting them know that you’re confident they won’t do that because what you have to share would be truly valuable to them.

Unless you’ve got the necessary resources like time, money, knowledge, skills, and effort among other things to establish an in-house email broadcasting system, its much better to simply outsource your needs.

On choosing an email broadcasting vendor, there are five main factors to consider. Firstly, look for the company with the requisite expertise and experience in handling the kind of service you need. Secondly, choose an email broadcasting vendor that offers round-the-clock customer and technical support. Thirdly, look for an email broadcasting vendor able to offer you all the bandwidth you need so that it won’t slow down your own system. Next, look for a package that allows you to enjoy upgrades with minimum fuss and cost. Lastly, look for one that offers the best features at an affordable rate.

Prepare your email broadcast.
Upon choosing your email broadcasting vendor and paying for the package you’ve specified, you’ll probably be given your account details to activate your broadcasting system.

Once there, its time to prepare your email broadcast. Determine whether you’re sending a document or database type of email. Formulate your subject heading and content. Double-check the body of your email for spelling and grammar. Make sure that you follow the usual format for effective online reads: keep it short, simple, and powerful.

Revalidate the email addresses in your list.
Make sure that all the email addresses in your list are working. Secondly, make sure that your recipients are aware and accept that you will be using an email broadcasting system to contact them. If necessary, you could explain the reasons for such a decision and the benefits they’ll enjoy because of it.

Configure your broadcasting system.
Do you want it to be a one-time email or would you like a particular email to be sent periodically? Many email broadcasting software also allow you to merge your recipients first and last names for improved personalization. Some may also monitoring options to provide you the most important statistics with regard to your emails.

Test the system.
Use your own email address to see if the email broadcasting system works. Has all images been displayed fully and correctly? Did everything in your emailed database appear to be in order?

To avoid inconveniencing your customers, do make sure that you follow all the steps specified here before broadcasting your email!

A call to action is usually composed of two or three lines, possibly making up a single paragraph, which emphasizes the importance of information provided in the body and the need for the reader to perform the desired action. If your email newsletter focused, for instance, on your latest product then your call to action could be for readers to buy now before the promo period ends or maybe just to visit your website to learn more about your product.

Email Marketing Tips on Making a Clearer and Stronger Call to Action

Place it right after your concluding paragraph.
For strategic positioning, your call to action should be directly below your concluding paragraph. Your concluding paragraph contains the strongest points of your email as well as whatever conclusions you’ve drawn. With key points still fresh on your readers mind, you’ll have an easier time achieving desired results if you issue your call to action right after.

Be specific.
Call to action doesn’t need flowery and elaborate statements. Brevity, simplicity, and power are what you should focus on. Make your sentences short as this will create greater impact. Lastly, be precisely clear about what you wish them to do so there won’t be any confusion about it.

Stick with one link.
Calls to action can become quite tedious if readers are asked to click multiple links. One or two links would do but links numbering four and up might be too much. If various links are however necessary then use the main pages link in your call to action. When they get there, that’s when you can explain more about the other links. Remember: your call to action is still a part of your email newsletter and you want to retain its uniformity and cohesiveness till the end. Don’t use your call to action to create a new letter within a letter.

Don’t be afraid to use font effects.
There’s nothing wrong about making your call to action more visible, but of course make sure that the distinctions you make are appropriate and appealing. You can underline and place the words click here in bold letters, maybe even change its font color, too.

Avoid using images.
Pictures may say a thousand words, but they don’t always show up and that’s going to be a big problem if you’ve got an image link serving as your call to action. As much as possible, avoid using images but if its necessary, make sure to double-check its links and provide a textual replacement just in case it doesn’t show up.

Now you know how to make your call to action clearer and stronger, what are you waiting for? Go and make your readers do what you want!

So you feel you’ve graduated from the basics of email marketing and you’re now ready for advanced techniques. If so, be warned that most of the advanced techniques for email marketing tend to require more technical knowledge and skills. If you don’t mind about that particular prerequisite then have fun learning!

Use an auto-responder system.
An auto-responder is a program you can use to ensure that everyone who emails you back will receive an immediate reply. You’ll have to configure it, however, to ensure that the people who email you will receive the appropriate response.

Make effective use of your email signature.
Your email signature is another way to market your business. The degree to which you can modify and design your email signature will depend greatly on your email service provider. Most, however, will accept text and images. HTML may be accepted by other providers.

Your email signature must contain above all else contact details of your business. Starting with your business name, you should also provide your store or company location, landline, mobile and facsimile number, email address, and website. If you have any email group, blog, or forum, these should be included in your email signature, too.

Last but not least, include either a tagline or a general but catchy call to action in your email signature.

Complete your profile for your email account.
Most email accounts also offer their members a chance to create their own profile pages. Use this to your disadvantage as well. If you have any qualifications you can use as your competitive advantage, this is the place to display them.

Use sophisticated designs for special emails.
Emails detailing about special events and occasions for your company should be designed accordingly. Rather than relying on the usual text and graphic combination, try going for a little bit of flair by using either Java or Flash to spice up your email.

Timing is essential.
In the old days, timing in your vocabulary usually meant sending emails either on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. But now, you have to be more specific than that. You should research about your target markets daily routine and try to find out what time of the day they’re most likely to read their emails. Use the information you obtain to improve how your email ad is designed.

For more advance email marketing techniques, consider enrolling in an Internet marketing course and joining Internet marketing workshops.
